So whether your 12, 20, 60 or anywhere in between we want to work with you. Although we do plenty of general nutrition, we like to start most programs with gut repair. Current research has shown that most health issues arise because of poor gut health! So whether you've got a family of 6 or are pregnant with your first we are here to help you with hormone balancing, diet and supplements. We'll help to answer all those other questions you have about your health. We don't take a guess at what the underlying issues might be, we use a comprehensive questionnaire and functional testing to figure out the best approach specifically for you. It’s not about big change and horrible withdrawals, it's about taking small, simple steps to a healthier you by creating New Habits!

I have to say that my passion for working with people and their health started, or took over my subconscious, before I even realized. I imagine that the seed of health was planted by my grandparents, who plopped me onto a stool behind the register of their Health food store at the age of 7. I listened and I watched and I saw first hand how my grandfather helped people with many problems through food and supplements. I just couldn't walk away from this, I mean I had those rebellious years and tried things like auto mechanics, architecture, and real estate but obviously nothing stuck. So when they were finally ready to retire for the 3rd time in their lives I bought the family health food store from them and continued to serve the people of Carpinteria for over 8 years. It was during these 8 years that I got involved with yoga and discovered just how well it complemented nutrition. In 2014 I decided that I needed more education to serve the people coming to me for help. So I moved to NZ to complete my Bsc in Human Nutrition at Massey University. No, I didn't come to NZ just for school I'd also meet a kiwi boy! I ending up selling the family business to my younger brother and his wife, as I could see that New Zealand had a need for functional practitioners, and since then I have had the pleasure of working in a variety of regions across New Zealand. I spent 3 years in Auckland and 4 years in Kerikeri teaching yoga and working with other health groups to bring education about health and wellness to the local communities. During this time we had our first child, Asher, and again I was reminded of just how important nutrition is. Pregnancy is a whole other ball game and requires so much of your body, mind and spirit. I upped my game and added in education on pelvic health, and nutrition for pregnancy as well as certification in Pre and Post natal yoga. After having my bub I found out I had Hashimottos and I can tell you this has not been a fun learning curve. But it has taught me even more about the body and required me to continue my learning and knowledge of the how we function and also how to treat things naturally! But even more exciting than my slowly conquering the exhausting symptoms of a thyroid issue my family and I have recently relocated the clinic to the Bay of Plenty. Closer to my family and a central hub of health and wellness I am looking forward to working in this new community and helping those who need and want a healthier version of themselves. Just remember eating healthy doesn't have to be hard or taste bad. With a little education and a helping hand I can help you to change your Habits so that you can continue doing what your doing but in a healthier way. It's not about big change or special diets but rather knowing what and how your body works. Let me help you find a new you and create New Habits.
